Relevant Professional Experience :
1) Experience with Abt Associate Inc (PHSP)
I have been working with Abt Associate Inc Starting from June 2011 with the
position of director of Quality Management. The major duties and
responsibilities includes the followings
• Collaborates with PHSP team, US Government, Government of
Ethiopia, and local and international partners to identify key indicators
and markers of progress, harmonize reporting approaches, and
frameworks to remain responsive to the needs of the PHSP project,
USG and the GOE.
• Be the lead technical person of PHSP team for development of PHSP
work plans, track progress toward fulfillment of project benchmarks,
including those required by PEPFAR.

• Ensure quality and responsiveness of PHSP program reporting on
quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis.
• Lead M&E system strengthening and ensure that establishment of
database system for the PHSP project.
• Be the lead technical person in assessing benchmarks and evaluating
progress towards the set objectives and benchmarks of the PHSP
project.
• Lead the design and revision of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)
plans with different program units at PHSP level; agree on the process
that needs improvement, organize a team knowledgeable about the
process, clarify the knowledge about the process, try to understand
the causes of variations in the process, and select improvement(s)
envisaged.
• Communicates regularly with PHSP staff and others as feasible to
monitor the progress of CQI implementation at the site level including
reviewing/discussing coaching visits, monitoring site-level changes,
ensuring data collection and problem solving.
• Supports ongoing CQI monitoring and evaluation activities; provide
input to the development and implementation of quality indicators
and system for ongoing data collection (such as tools development),
ensure data is collected, analyzed and utilized for management
decision.
• Ensure facilitation of knowledge management (on M & E and CQI) and
documentation of the PHSP project.
• Provides regular support and supervision to M & E Manager, CQI
Manager and Data Specialist. This includes the formulation of
individual work plans based on unit work plan and/or job descriptions.
It also includes regularly scheduled supervision and performance
management meetings.

procedures for Community- level (a) Home- based Palliative Care and (b)
Home-based Counseling and Testing services. Lead development of
training curricula and materials for supportive supervision using the QoC
diagnostic tool and integration of this tool and approach into program
training activities (25%)
• Contribute to the assessments of CSO M&E Capacity and actively
strengthen this capacity especially any CSOs including private
research/evaluation institutions adopted as NIPs to execute project
studies and work with grantee CSOs to strengthen their M&E capacity.
Assist partners responsible for monitoring and supervising grants to NIPs

PEPFAR contractors, most importantly Save the Children, MSH, and
