1. 5 Narrative stages of film – Bride Wars
Equilibrium – 2 best friends
They dream of getting married at the same place on the same
month because they saw a wedding there when they were little
girls.
Disruption of events – they both get engaged at around the same time.
They go and book it at the place but on different dates
of the month.
Recognition of events – there’s a double booking so the wedding has to be on
the same date.
Attempt to repair disruption – argument who’s going to change their date to a
different month. Can’t decide so they have to
have it on the same date and then they fall out
over it.
New Equilibrium – lead up to the wedding they try and ruin each others big
days. In the end they give up and one realises she’s not
with the right person so the other one gets married with
her best friend as maid of honour. It’s a happy ending after
all!
