3. INTRODUCTION
Learning styles describe the way that people process and
retain information.
We all differ in the way that we learn and learning styles
are one way to categorize these differences.
There are concrete things that you can do to make the
most of your learning style and use it to learn more
efficiently, even if you aren’t in school.
4. The most common learning styles
The three most common learning styles are
1. Visual Learners.
2. Auditory Learners
3. Reading & Writing Learners
• Visual learners respond to images and graphics. (“through the eyes, by watching”).
• Auditory learners prefer verbal presentations. (“by listening and speaking “).
5. Primary Learning Styles
The three primary learning styles are
Visual
Auditory
Kinesthetic.
By understanding the different ways people learn, you can improve your teaching and help
learners achieve their goals.
Visual learners perform better by looking at simple, easy-to-process images, pictures and
graphs.
