The device for measurement of the pressure in the oil wells.
The main purpose of this invention is the inspection of the 3D deformation, and stress of the solid rocks in
the oil well.
Description:
The aim of invention is measurements of normal components of stress tensor in oil-and-gas zones. The
device is a solid cylinder. A solid cylinder is locked on the one hand with stopper and on the other hand with
head. Borehole cable is fortified in head with the aid of screwed cap and connected with computer on the
surface. Normal components of stress tensor are registered with resistive-strain pressure sensors. The device
is fortified in well with cement bridging.
This invention can be used for
• Inspection of the pressure of the solid rocks in the wells,
• Measurement of the possible deformation of the oil well due to the oil compression in the productive
layers,
• During the drilling process we can control the stability of the pressure in the well, that is critical to
the rig.
Benefits of using this invention:
• Automation of the inspection and control of the oil wells condition to prevent corruption of the hole.
• Simplification of the control of the oil well condition

Description:
The device consists of three layers where first layer (waveguide) is made from material with high
impedance like copper or steal, second layer is material investigated, and third layer is made from the same
material what waveguide. Excitation and registration of the reflected waves are used by echo-pulse method.
Also author developed algorithms and procedures of processing data described in his publications.
It can be used for
• Definition of the elastic properties of different materials (speeds of P-, S-waves, different elastic
modulus), and also dynamic properties (coefficient of reflection, attenuation) with high precision both
under normal conditions and under high pressures and temperatures,
• Inspection of quality of oil & gas delivery tubes using spectral analysis of reflected waves.
• Control of the quality of tube’s connections in the fields,
• Control the deformation, and the strain of the materials.
• Used methodology is the subject of current invention as well.
Benefits of using these inventions:
• We can inspect the structure of the samples of rocks to predict the volume of the resources in the
productive layer.
• Using this methodology we can automate the process of the inspection of the oil supply.
All these inventions could be used both in the fields, and in the research laboratory. They can be useful not
only for the investigation of the petrophysical elastic properties of samples of rocks in oil and gas industry,
but also for controlling of the actual oil well condition.
For inventions algorithms of data interpretation were
realized in the computer software, and are used in the some
of the Russians Oil Companies.
