software market. It is based on the world’s largest survey of BI users.
With a sample of over 3,000 survey responses, The BI Survey 17 offers an

Our research covers issues ranging from the purchase cycle right through to deployment,
including critical information on performance levels, scalability and problems
encountered. 42 leading BI products are compared. Market trends are also examined.

Business Benefits Index (BBI) and Best-in-Class Companies
We asked respondents the extent to which they have realized specific
business benefits. A weighted scoring system is used to derive a
composite score for each of the possible benefits based on the level of
benefit achieved. This is called the BBI (Business Benefits Index).
Best-in-class companies comprise the top 10 percent of companies,
based on their achievement of business benefits, while laggards are
defined as the 10 percent of companies achieving the lowest level of
business benefits.

Companies that receive excellent vendor and implementer support achieve a higher level of business benefits than those that

Users rated Domo among the top 3 products in the dashboarding peer group in 10 user feedback KPIs
• Business value: Business benefits (#1)
• Customer satisfaction: Recommendation
• Customer experience: Ease-of-use, Data volume, Query performance
• Innovation (#1): Cloud BI, Mobile BI, Operational BI
Domo scored at the lower end of the spectrum in only two KPIs:
• Customer experience: Flexibility for users
[providing predefined dashboards is probably a common usage pattern for Domo?]
• Competitiveness: Competitive win rate
[a typical result for “hot” vendors with high marketing spend and high share of voice: they are considered in

A weighted scoring system is used to derive a composite score for each of the possible benefits based on the level of benefit achieved. This is called the BBI (Business Benefits Index). Best-in-class companies comprise the top 10 percent of companies, based on their achievement of business benefits, while laggards are defined as the 10 percent of companies achieving the lowest level of business benefits. 7
