Thoughts on ideasin brackets
1. A one shot intriguing dance
with three people down a
corridor –
(Would suit a performance
type music video, yet I don’t
feel Woodkid should be
performanceas they are all narrative)
2. Fight scene or war –
(Would definitely suit the beat of the song, would be good to film in
New Forestwith the open land, good useof his generic conventions for
music videos)
3. Low scale lighting – close up of mouth lip syncing –
(Generic of Woodkid – relates slightly to his useof monochromein his
music videos)
4. Slow motion performancebut with narrativeelements (Crime) –
(I think would look good, would be able to fit certain editing techniques
in and would help me create a good look to my video)
5. Performance, lip sync, narrative, emotional –
(Good idea, effective and would help follow Woodkid’s usuallook with
some lip syncing aswell
2. 6. Epic landscape – shots (lonely man) – walking (slow-mo) -
(Would be good to have landscapelike a drone shotwith certain
sections of the shots when there are large drum beats)
7. Massivedrums (bouncing, soaring high) -
(Links to previous points)
8. Running through the forest –
(Links well with the tribal masks pointand epic landscape, could all come
together as one using long wide shots to create a senseof epicness)
9. Tribal masks –
(Links well with the genreof the music)
10.Fire, smoke– slow motions, melting ice –
(Also good links back to previous points)
11.Some live intense war themes – location: heathland
12.Massivebattle – two enemies fighting
13.Cut to beat of drums- edgy shots of gang walking to camera, violent, feel
guns/knifes – long extended cut of fight scene –
(Suits rhythm and speed of the music, would be good to film that kind of
scene in monochromeaswell)
