2. Curator New England Quilt Museum 2007-2010

exhibit program that resulted in increased visitation, donations, and membership.

Shop Manager/Consultant New England Quilt Museum 2005-2007
• Project manager and Consultant for the New England Quilt Museum to remodel and redesign its existing retail
space. As a result the on time completion of this major project was done fort our largest annual fundraiser the
Images Quilt Festival raised our funds and repeat sales, visitation and membership increased.
• Managed a staff of 4 employees and 12 volunteers.
• Responsible for purchasing all exhibit related books, design and proof of products and product literature,
consulted on reproduction of our museum collection fabrics, and quilting patterns for sale in the shop.
• Developed policy for identifying and contracting with local artists to consign artwork for museum shop.
• Responsible for the design, display and rotation of products on sales floor, exhibit cases, walls and windows
which resulted in visually exciting presentations and increased sales and regular visitation of local patrons.
• Implemented the best practices for museum consignment system, and created a new program with the accounting
department to ensure accurate payments and inventories. Resulted in an increase of products and income to sell
without increased spending on commercial inventory and storage of materials.
• Tracked budget and expenses for the shop generated reports and tracked sales trends.
