1. MARY H - I’M LIVING MY HISTORY

2. HISTORY IS NOT IN THE PAST -
IT IS STILL ALL AROUND US!
FROM HISTORIC HOMES TO
BATTLEFIELDS, MONUMENTS TO
MUSEUMS, CRYPTS TO CATHEDRALS -
HISTORY IS THERE TO ENGAGE WITH

3. I HAVE LOVED
HISTORY SINCE
MIDDLE SCHOOL !
AND I HAVE NOT
STOPPED - JUST
BROADEN MY
HORIZONS.
IT STARTED BY ACCIDENT
- I WATCHED A SHOW ON
PUBLIC TELEVISION WITH
MY MOTHER ONE SUNDAY
NIGHT. AND I BECAME
HOOKED ON THE
RENAISSANCE!

4. From there I went forward
into new eras and then
backwards to learn the
beginnings! It doesn’t stop - I
always want to know more.
I even found 2 colleges that
had majors in Medieval and
renaissance Studies. Luckily
one was in my home state of
New York!
Now I have gone all over the
world - some places in
person, many through books
and on-line!

5. I became a teacher to
share my passion for
History!
I have been a classroom
teacher for over 20 years
But I am still looking for
answers to things I want to
know about!
I hope we can explore
History together for a
while!
