2. Introduction
Today we are going to
be learning about
cyberbullying. I hope
you can learn some
things and never
cyberbully.

3. CYBER
BULLYING
• Cyber bullying is the use of
electronic communication to
bully a person, typically by
sending messages of
intimidating or threatening
nature.

4. Instagram
An example of cyber bullying
is Instagram. On Instagram
people leave rude comments
saying you’re ugly, fat, etc.

5. Twitter
Twitter is another example of a
form of cyber bullying. People
subtweet rude comments.
Subtweet- a post that refers to
a particular user without
directly mentioning them,
typically as a form of furtive
mockery or criticism.

6. Some Facts
• Nearly 43% of kids have been bullied
online. 1 in 4 has had it happen more
than once.
• Bullying victims are 2 to 9 times more
likely to commit suicide.
• About 75% of students admit they have
visited a website bashing another
student.

7. 3 types of
cyberbullying
• The three types of
cyberbullying are
harassment,
impersonating someone,
and photographs and
videos.

8. Harassment
• This involves the bully
sending offensive and
malicious messages to an
individual or a group and is
often repeated multiple
times.

9. Impersonating
someone
• This is another common technique, and it’s
easy to do with the help of free email accounts
offered by gmail, hotmail , and others. Bullies
create a similar account name and then go
online and act in awful ways while pretending to
be the victim. The attacks that fall into tis
category are
• Stealing the victims password and pretending
to be the victim while chatting with others.
• Changing the victims profile in social accounts
so that it is offensive.
• Setting up social accounts in the victims name.

10. Photographs
& videos
• Nobody wants an unguarded moment to be
photographed and published , and thats why
cyberbullies like this. These photographs
could be taken without the victims knowledge
(gym, locker room, bathroom, etc.) or could
have been a posed but private photo.
Cyberbullies know what to do with this
pictures:
• Threaten to share them publicly unless the
victim complies with a particular demand
• Distribute them via text or email, making it
impossible for the victim to control who sees
the pictures
• Publish the pictures for anyone to view

11. How to STOP
cyber bullying
• Don’t respond. If someone
bullies you, remember that
your reactions what the
bully wants
• Save the evidence
• Talk to a trusted adult
• Block the bully
• Be civil
• Don’t be a bully
• Be a friend, not a
bystander
