I am applying for the front desk position. My experiences that are mostly on food and beverage
could bring questions to why I intend to apply to a front desk position. I was very determined not
to limit my work environment to a restaurant as I wished to gain various experiences in a hotel
and abroad so I decided to take up the challenge. Accordingly, I enrolled in an English education
center for a year. I sincerely hope to be a part of your team and my strong determination and
passion are the following;
*Global mind - I did my first internship in Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort which is a tourist
attraction. I stayed with staffs and provided service for guests from various countries and this
experience helped me understand others and provide respect for different cultures. My
experiences in various countries such as the United States, Japan, and South Korea made me know
the cultures and lifestyles in each country and also offer more personalized service to the guests
from many parts of the world.
*Communicative skills -I trained for a year to improve my English so that I can become a better
communicator. I majored in Japanese as a Korean so my ability to speak different languages will
certainly support me to provide excellent service.
*Determined to never give up and reach achievements - once I set up a goal, I make sure to
accomplish it. While I was working for the food and beverage team in Sheraton, I decided to
become a beverage specialist and I acquired all of the liquor related license within just a year. I
would appreciate it if you focus on my passion instead of my license. Through my passion, I
managed to achieve high profits for beverage drinks and sales and attended training in Japan for
the very first time from the hotel that I worked for. after training, I gave a presentation in front of
all the executives and staff of the hotel. This brought the changes to the wedding events of the
banquet hall and operation of the restaurant system.
I believe that I am prepared for this position through my global mind,outstanding communicative
skills,strong sense of willpower,and efforts. I have the confidence to make favorable contributions
to your team.I would appreciate it very much if I have the interview opportunity , where I will be
able to demonstrate my qualification and suitability for the front desk position.Thank you for your
