All Your Scheduling Needs
The Athletic Scheduler facilitates the
scheduling of athletic contests and the sharing
of that information
with all concerned
individuals simply
and easily. With
the Athletic
Scheduler, you will be able to create contest
records, calculate the logistics for each, assign
transportation, and roll contests over from year
to year. Athletic Scheduler produces detailed
Master Schedules for all school departments,
Contracts for opponents, Change Notices, and
Weekly Reminders for coaches and opponents.
Customizable
Created in Filemaker Pro, the Athletic
Scheduler is completely customizable to your
needs and shared on your school network. You
have complete control to create your own fields
and layouts for the information that is
important to your specific needs. I am available
for customization. (Requires Filemaker Pro,
not included)
Backroom
The Backroom will supply all the necessary
information for the Logistics
Calculator and for creating
and emailing information to
your school’s offices and
opponents. The Athletic
Scheduler comes with the
most recent NEPSAC schools information and
a set of most common teams installed.
Schedules, coaches and players can be imported
or entered by hand.
Grid Views
You can view
your schedule as
you see it on the
Schedule Layout,
but also in a grid
format. On the Grid layouts, you can view, add
and edit contests. Special dates appear in
amber and the name of the special date appears
in the box in the header to alert you to unusual
restrictions.
Calculating Logistics
After entering your contests, you can
calculate the logistics for each contest on the
Schedule layout. Based on the information you
entered in the Backroom, Athletic Scheduler
will calculate the Dismissal Time, Pre-Game
Meal, Departure Time, Return Time, and Post-
Game Meal for
each contest in
seconds. Logistics
can be calculated
as many times as you want, until you have it
right.

I have worked in Independent Schools for
45 years as a teacher, coach, and administrator.
Having been an athletic director, dean of
students, and headmaster, I have firsthand
knowledge of the needs of each office. I served
as President of NEPSAC in 1983-84. With a
math and computer science background it was
natural for me to develop database solutions for
my schools. I have been programming in
Filemaker Pro since 1995.
