1. You may have caught The Simpsons episode last week? It had an amazing couch
gag that paid tribute to Cat Stevens, using his song ‘Tea For The Tillerman’. You

I’m going to follow in The Simpsons footsteps and also pay tribute to Cat Stevens
for this weeks Rewind Wednesday. Cat Stevens gave up his music career when
he converted to Islam and changed his name to Yusuf Islam in 1978. He made a
return to music in 2005 and is now a week away from releasing his 3rd album as
Yusuf.
‘Tea for the Tillerman’ is the title track to second album, which was released in
1970. Both this album and the following ‘Teaser and the Firecat’ reached triple
platinum status in the US. It’s one of the most beautiful and spiritual albums
you’ll come across, packed full of songs with peaceful melodies and inspiring
lyrics. Along with the title track, other favourite songs off the album include ‘Into
the White’ and his hit song ‘Wild World’.
