Introduced to widely used accounting platforms; SAP, Oracle & CitiDirect
Self-reliance – scope for initiative; redrafted SOPs, BPIs for improved data
input and analysis, additional training such as FX & Revenue Management

Accounting Modules – Financial Reporting & Management Accounting
Business Finance – particularly important in multinational company
Applications in Corporate Finance – IT module focused on Excel
Placement Plan module – professional conduct in work environment
4. Areas of Improvement for BScF
Role focused on accounting side of the BSc Finance – reporting,
banking, compliance, etc.
Main issue was lack of experience with corporate IT systems
Greater emphasis on IT from earlier on – only started in 2nd year.
Increased use of Excel and Word in 1st year for assignments
Corporate data systems such as SAP, Oracle, HFM, etc.

Career
Initially unsure of future career plans – post graduate education or
join workforce?
Desire to work in industry and/or multinational such as PepsiCo after
college
Renewed interest in pursuing accounting qualification as a result of
my placement in PepsiCo
