STREAMS & VALLEYS Hosts Annual Fun Run and Party on the Plaza
Fort Worth – September 9th, 2014 - Streams & Valleys will celebrate their ninth annual
Friends of the River – Party on the Plaza event from 6-9 p.m. on Oct. 23. The event features a
fun run along the Trinity River in Fort Worth followed by a block party at Montgomery Plaza.
Proceeds fund future beautification and improvement projects for the Trinity River and its trail
system.
The family and pet-friendly event kicks-off with a 6k along the Trinity River at 6:15 p.m.,
followed by a 3k Fido Fun Run. After the run, attendees are welcome to join a block party
where a variety of local restaurants will serve food tastings. Wine, beer and live music are
included with event admission.
Advance ticket prices through Oct. 12 are $33 for general registration (6k or 3k) or $38 for Chip
Timed registration (6k only). Kids 12 and under $10. Ticket prices increase by$5 for adults until
Oct. 22. For those who only want the fun without the run, tickets are available for $30. Event-day
tickets are $50 for adults. Twelve and under are $15. Registration and packet pick-up begins
at 5 p.m.
Online registration is through midnight Oct. 22nd. Walk-in is Oct 22nd – 23rd Luke’s Locker in
Fort Worth. Event day: beginning at 5 p.m., Montgomery Plaza. You can pick up your packets
for the Fun Run at Luke’s Locker, 2600 W. 7th Street, Fort Worth, on Oct. 21st & 22nd (10 a.m.
– 7 p.m.) and Oct. 23rd (until 1 p.m.). Event Site: Oct. 23rd (beginning at 5 p.m.).
