4. 1.INTRODUCTION

5. Every Filipino's day-to-day existence has been changed
with Covid-19, from the poorest to the most affluent. We
spoke in a certain way, and we walked in a different way. It did,
however, open up opportunities in the sphere of education, an
opportunity to learn, explore, and modify the DepEd's
educational system in terms of blended learning.
This method is not new to the Philippine educational
system, as numerous schools and institutions around the
country have long used it. Traditional ways to education
transitioned to blended learning during the pandemic,
according to DepEd [1].

6. ○ In Kimamon National High School, technology contest the
skills and ability of every teacher consider the following:
○ It has been a substantial issue for every student as well who
were not capable of providing internet connection at home.
○ We are all unprepared for the abrupt transition from traditional
learning to new normal teaching.
○ On the other hand, it gives an optimistic view that they could
adapt to technological advancement and gradually put it into
effect.

7. 2.EVENT,
SITUATION &
EXPERIENCE

8.  Covid-19 pandemic enables us to move away from
our regular classroom instruction and instead focus on
learning in an intangible way.
 Students practiced filling out take-home learning activity
sheets and completing take-home portfolios.
 We pursued Modular Print of delivery mode since majority
of our pupils, especially those in grades 7 to 9, were unable
to access the online world of teaching.
 Some Grade 10 to Senior High School advisers used to
implement a mixture of constructivist principle and
electronic way of teaching, however, modular print was still
a support.

9. 3.RESULTS

10. ○ As a result, not just for students, but also in the teaching
process, blended learning has been considered insufficient. It
may be an opportunity to hone our skills as digital savvy
individuals, however our school lacks resources such as free
internet access and learning tools. To be honest, based on their
performance evaluation and written test, even using the
Modular Print technique to learning cannot guarantee even
60% learning capability. In the future, I can’t even claim to
produce graduates who were competitive enough as product of
the Covid-19 situation.

12. ○ The school system's response to Covid-19 will speak for itself
and the educational system should be improved or developed
further. Blended learning is one step closer to virtual reality,
which technology does occasionally innovate, but I believe this
is insufficient because we are still in the planning stages. It is still
necessary to investigate and consider the positive aspects of the
pandemic. This is only the start of the Philippines' brightest
educational system. I am challenged by the positivity shown on
the effect of covid-19 as a government employee who seeks to
address the needs of my student. This pandemic will always be
remembered as a cage where teachers continually grows and
eager to “walk the talk” on giving quality education for all.

13. CONCLUSION

14. ○ The circumstance poses a particular difficulty within the new
normal to the decision-making process of every educational
leader. Accepting this challenge as an educator gives options for
reacting to challenges, problems, and trends that are developing
and will arise in the future as a result of the COVID-19
pandemic. Blended learning after all is a challenge for me and an
opportunity to develop more my teaching ability to the next
level – putting in act on how to be a 21st century teacher.
