1. WHO I AM
Name: Marcos Araujo 1 - Home: Belo Horizonte, MG, Brasil.
I am a Brazilian psychologist and teacher, divorced, spiritualist. Despite my age, I feel young
and try to maintain a healthy lifestyle with physical activities, good habits and natural food.
My current focus is on Clinical and Social Psychology. I am also interested in ufology,
cosmology and spiritualism.
As a psychologist I attend mainly people with anxiety, depression, stress, sexual repression,
feeling of abandonment and other emotional and affective difficulties. Also common are the
cases of people who seek to overcome situations of prostitution, addiction to alcohol and
drugs, suicidal tendencies, or have suffered sexual abuse and other problems in their
sexuality.
I am a Brazilian psychologist and teacher, divorced, spiritualist. Although I am over 60, I feel
young and try to maintain a healthy lifestyle with physical activities, good habits and natural
food. I've lived abroad and I consider myself a citizen of the world more than the country.
My main qualities: honesty, sincerity, respect for human beings and a sense of justice.
Defects: I am not very patient, somewhat impulsive and sometimes anxious; I have a certain
gypsy spirit.
I find myself educated, affectionate, jovial, romantic, honest, sincere, non-possessive. My
current focus is on Clinical and Social Psychology (especially working with groups). I am also

I am not suitable for futile, superficial, empty and presumptuous people, who evaluate people
for what they have and not for what they are.
I like what provides comfort and well-being, but I avoid luxury and what is superfluous or
illusory. When I can, I try to travel to other countries, especially more peaceful, human and
civilized.
I don't like TV in general, soap operas, football, arrogance, mediocrity, religious fanaticism,
hypocrisy, dishonesty.
I am not rich because I have never attached myself to material goods, real estate, cars,
jewelry and other expensive objects, but I have a middle class economic and social life in
Brazil.

feeling of abandonment and other emotional and affective difficulties. Also common are the

I work with short-term intensive care groups (following the model of the Mental Research
Institute, in Palo Alto, California) that allow a quick solution or overcoming the problems
experienced.
The groups are useful both in the treatment and in the prevention of psychological disorders
in general and difficulties and problems of daily life. They can help to treat, improve, avoid or
prevent physical and psychological illnesses and problems such as: cancer, smoking,
alcoholism, drug addiction, obesity, bad habits.
