10,000 years ago in the Neolithic period. The animal welfare integrity and ethics that developed
in the Neolithic period is one that obligated people to consider animal welfare in order to
achieve their own purposes. Animal welfare set up a beneficial program between
humans and animals that proceed in such a way, "If we take care of animals, animals will
take care of us" (Strand, 2014). Animal welfare discipline in veterinary medicine has
developed over the latter half of the twentieth century into an independent specialty in its own
right. The first world-class educational organization dedicated to the study of animal welfare was
established in 1966 as a community of animal ethology affiliated with the British Veterinary
