3. VMware Workstation
VMware Workstation is a hypervisor that runs on x64 versions of
Windows and Linux operating systems (an x86 version of earlier releases
was available); it enables users to set up virtual machines (VMs) on a
single physical machine, and use them simultaneously along with the
actual machine.
5. Virtual Network Types
• Bridged
• Connected Directly to Router as a separate machine from Host Machine
• Exposed to outside network(Internet) through Router
• Uses a new IP from the same internal Network as Host Machine
• NAT
• Not exposed to outside Host Machine(Internet)
• Use Port Forwarding to connect Guest VMs from Internal Network
• Host-only
• Cannot be accessed from Host or outside Network
• Host Machine can contact using VMWare Console Only
