• Mouse pointer integration. To overcome the limitations for

Take a snapshot. This makes a copy of the
machine's current state, to which you can go
back at any given time later.

Restore a snapshot. In the list of snapshots,
right-click on any snapshot you have taken and
select Restore.
Delete a snapshot. This does not affect the
state of the virtual machine, but only releases
the files on disk.
5. Cloning Virtual
Machines
To explore new
features or create a
backup of your virtual
machine without
disrupting its operation,
you can utilize the
clone function available
in Oracle VirtualBox.

Copies all dependent
disk images to the new
VM folder. A full clone
can operate fully
without the source VM.
If you select Reinitialize the MAC address of all network cards, every network card attached to the
clone VM (the destination VM) gets a new MAC address assigned. If you don’t select it, the clone will

• Open Virtualization Format (OVF). This is the industry-
