One of the most critical aspects of language teaching and learning—and often the most difficult for teachers to implement—is teaching in the target language. The presenters provided the rationale for target-language use to make authentic materials comprehensible to students. Studies, examples and strategies were shared, as well as ideas for how to react when students or parents push back. Materials to use with students were also shared.
