When thinking about the What is the biggest public problem , its important to identify and adress the needs of these soft spoken, and gentel animals, who feel pain and sufferring just like anyone else.
September 28 – 9:00am appointment to dentist when I notices something barely moving from a distance in the middle of the road..and my husband was just in time to wheel the car on the left to avoid hitting the thing. I immediately jumped out of the car while my husband parked at the nearest corner and joined me. We saw a small squirrel just moving round and round but unable to cover any distance. This was my 1 st close interaction with a squirrel and I had NO CLUE what to do with it, but all I knew was that if I left it, it would surely die. I must have made a minimum of 25 frantic calls to different rehabilitation centers, vets, 911, before I was finally able to get to speak to someone who was a volunteer rehabilitator and offered to help and provide it with the professional help it needed – We drove down for 45 minutes one way to get to that person from where I stay. 2 precious hours was lost since I had found the squirrel and was finally able to give it some treatment and help.
The figure includes mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. Not to take into account those who are injured and die at a distance inside the bushes and jungles and are never counted. Some can be saved when provided with immediate and right information.
