SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Successfully developed and executed a youth oriented anti-drug/decision making
program utilized by 12 local schools and 3 community organizations that interacted with
approximately 3,000 students overall.
During a budget related major reduction in force resulting in a 95% staff drawdown, was
responsible for achieving a passing inspection result and insured future program funding
at a 100% level while maintaining all management actions and communications until
budget passed and all personnel returned.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Indiana National Guard – Counterdrug Task Force; Indiana
Human Resources/Personnel/AdministrativeManager (2007-2016)
Presided over all Personnel and Administrative functions within the 75-85 person Task
Force to include official correspondence, database management, quality assurance,
training, plans and procedures, budgeting assistance, payroll, leave, travel
management, general office management, staff meetings, informational briefings,
operational safety, and information/operational security.
Managed all Human Resources aspects of the Task Force to include in-processing, HR
training, orientation, personnel database creation and maintenance, benefits briefings,
risk management, problem solving, employee relations, and general customer support.
Drug Demand Reduction Team Leader (2001-2007)
Coordinated and delivered daily classroom instruction to students within the
Indianapolis and Wayne Township Public School Systems. Also served as a group and
individual student mentor within the Indianapolis Public School System.
Assisted the Indiana StatePolice Youth Programs section with summer Youth Pioneer
Camps as a counselor and logistics provider.
Supervised 10 additional Drug Demand Reduction team members over the course of
time.
Indiana Air National Guard
Recruiting Assistant (1998-2001)
Assisted the State Recruiting Superintendent in promoting the Air National Guard to
the greater Indianapolis area by coordinating and implementing visits to local schools,
community events, and job fairs in order to provide informational briefings to large
audiences.
Designed and distributed informational posters and pamphlets.
Processed potential Air National Guard recruits by conducting initial legal, medical, and
educational screening. Counseled potential recruits on opportunities and placement.
