4. CASE STUDY:
The case tries to describe the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on business globally and locally.
Information explains how the COVID-19 pandemic spread globally form China and created a health crisis
across the world. As on end of August, 2020, COVID-19 had spread to more than 200 countries. Many
confirmed cases and deaths have been recorded across the world till date. In addition to the human impact,
there is also a significant business impact begin felt globally and the impact growing bigger. Top global
companies are found to have been disrupted by the pandemic. The loss is yet to be calculated. The most
immediate business impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is a major disruption in supply chains. The response
and strategies implemented by businesses to tackle the implications of pandemic is noteworthy. In Nepal too,
researchers, academicians, industrialists, business companies and others are conducting surveys on the
impacts of pandemic on business and industries. In this context, few management students are asked to carry
out a survey on ‘The Impact of disease on Supply Chain.”
