Digital Marketing is essentially any type of marketing that has taken
place online. In this case, a business might leverage websites and
multiple social media accounts to get their brand out there and for
more and more people to discover it. This is a very cheap way of
promoting an item or service.

3. Careers
There are many careers that you can get into with the information of
a digital marketer.
Freelancer- You are able to work on projects on your own
Online Earning- earn money from different sites putting out ads
Entrepreneur- Start your own business
Professional job- Work for a company

4. What does DM consist of?

5. Email Marketing
THis is a digital marketing strategy where it basically consists of
sending emails back and forth with new people and creating
relationships at the same time promoting something.

6. Pay Per Clicks
PPC is a digital marketing strategy that is used to cover more ground
on the internet. Essentially what this is, when you create and add and
put it on google or somewhere you can click. Once someone clicks on
the ad you make money. That is why on some low privacy websites
the ad’s will pop up on your screen and it almost makes you click on it
no matter what.

7. Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate Marketing is when a company pays another person or brand
(affiliate) to bring publicity and traffic towards your thing you are
promoting. You will see a lot of youtubers and influencers do this
because both parties are winning. They make money since you paid
them and hopefully they have a big enough fan base to look more into
the thing you're promoting.

8. Online Reputation management
ORM is the act of actively monitoring when the name of your
company or brand gets brought up or talked about, this could be
positively or negatively.

9. Return on investment
ROI is the calculation of Return on Investment. This is a very
important tool you need to know in the marketing world. THis will
help you find the best marketing strategies and the most profitable
ones. It is essentially a tool to make you succeed.

10. History of DM
Digital Marketing has came a long way. The traditional way was very
hard to get things done. On web 1.0 users would be able to find the
information they wanted but they couldn't post the information they
wanted. The term was first used in the 1990’s with the development
of the internet. Now brands and companies all over the world
wouldn't’ be where they are today without Digital Marketing
