• Pros
- Provides a platform for instructors to provide material for students
- Assignments and activities through an online atmosphere include
quizzes, Library eReserves, DIVA resources and CourseStream lectures
- Students can share information with one another
• Cons
- Technical difficulties
- When instructor posts an assignment or email there is no reminder
- Navigating through the system can be difficult for those who are not
technologically savvy

5. Skype
• Pros
- One of the cheapest VoIP services
- Provides International calls with unlimited minutes
- Does not require any hardware to install which has made Skype set up
easy compared to its competitors
• Cons
- Does not offer call return or blocking
- Audio and video quality decrease profusely during multi-party calls
- Not secure

6. Facebook
• Pros
- Facebook is free
- Allows you to connect with different people all around the globe
- Cost effective alternative to keep in touch with loved ones
• Cons
- Very addicting and time consuming
- Group and fan pages are being developed which abuse or violate
personalities, religions, nations, etc.
- Too much exposure to public allows insight for predators

7. Conference Calls
• Pros
- People are able to have meetings without physically being present
- Generally has a faster response rate as opposed to emails
- Increases interaction with one another
• Cons
- No face to face interaction
- Misinterpretation of ideas
- Loss of connection

8. Google Drive/Docs
• Pros
- Entirely web- based offers instant access to your documents anywhere
around the world
- Create, share, collaborate and publish documents, spreadsheets and
presentation ( free of charge)
- Work is saved in real time
• Cons
- Less functionality compared to Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Internet access required
- No storage capacity

9. Winner
is Google Docs
• We all came to the conclusion that Google
Docs is the most efficient and effective form of
communication that will work for our group as
the main form of communication. We can
work on the project all at the same time and
edit to our best ability all at once. This makes
collaborating on assignments and projects
very convenient and sensible.
