of the people like action
so I might have a bit of
action in my film.
5. This can help me
because I can see
what there favorite
part of a thriller is
which means I can
incorporate that into
my film
6. This helps me
because people are
giving me feed back
on my ideas which I
can read and see what
they like about my idea
and also what they
don’t lie about my
idea. This will help my
edit my idea and
change some scenes
to make it a lot better
for the audience
7. Viewing and sale information for thriller and the films inside-
The departed-

There are a lot of really high grossing thriller films such as
Dark knight- $534.86 million

15. Looking at the ratings I reckon my film will be 12-12a because there are some

will be quite tense and a a sense of threat.
16. Research potential production techniques you might want to use
or feel would be most appropriate – these can be related to
camera, editing, story, sound, etc
You should look at a minimum of 3 related products in your
research.
You should collect clips/still images/how to guides/etc that might
help you. When watching scenes from films, etc you could also
ask potential target audience what they think.
You will need to add extra slides!
With each technique you should assess whether you can use it or
how you might employ or why you may want to disregard it
completely
17. Throughout this film they used any different camera
shots and angles for example it uses shots such a such
as low shots to show the dominance of the character
punching the guy on the floor. That shot also shows a
POV shot of the guy on the floor getting punched. This
shows us that he is defenseless and weak because it is
a low angle shot which shows that Edward Norton
character has more power over he guy on the floor. Also
it uses an over the shoulder close up shot which in
effect it shows us a close up of of a character to keep
focus on them but then in the same scene there is
something going on in the background which
immediately grabs out attention and it also grabs the
protagonists attention because he turns around and
looks which then makes us focus on the character in the
background.
18. Throughout this film they used any different
camera shot, angles and effects. For
example is some parts of the film the
camera shakes and in the editing process
it stutters and started to glitch. this shows
us that something isn't right about this
person that they are hiding something
which is trying to get out. It also makes the
audience feel a bit uneasy because it hints
something bad is about to happen. They
also use insert shots to focus on the lady
who went missing, this makes us focus on
the girl and get more intrigued
19. Throughout this film they used any different
camera shot, angles and effects. For
example they use a lot of dolly shots
moving sideways especially in the prison
scene which rolls through a cell block
looking at all the prisoners but focusing on
Leonardo DiCaprio character doing dips in
his cell. Also they use clever little hints in it
which is whenever someone has an X in
the background of the shot they will end up
dying one way or another.
21. We decided to film inside the
college stare well because it
was really convenient and
easy to film in because we
could use different floors for
different shots. While filming
we used different shots such
as an establishing shot at the
beginning to establish the
setting. We also used a lot of
long shots and medium shots.
We also used pan shots and
crane shots in our
establishing shot.
22. In my final product I hope to get in am establishing shot of the
setting my guy will be in. also I hope to use medium shots and
close ups in my final product because it will look affective epically
due to the genre I am doing. I also hope to use a pan in my final
product to show the surrounding area.
23. In the editing proses I decided
to ad a track in to make it
sound more epic and to give
the actual video a bit more
depth. The process of doing
the slow motion part wasn’t
that hard. All I did was cut the
part of the clip I wanted to be
slow motion and then
decrease the speed to 50%.
Then I decided to have a shot
that went backwards and all I
did was went on speed and
duration and clicked reverse
shot and bunked up the
speed to 75%.
24. In my final product I want to have a sound track behind my short
film that I will make myself using a keyboard that my music
teacher will bring. Will also be using the same editing software
which is adobe premier pro
25. For the audio process we went
around the collage making sound
affects that go with the clip of Shaun
of the dead. For example for him
walking we went on the tarmac and
started to walk really loud also there
was a guy running so we ran and the
tarmac. Another thing we did was that
there is a part where Simon Pegg
slips so we made that noise my
sliding our hand down the banister
really fast and it sounds like he is
slipping. Another thing that we did
was to record the sound of opening
and closing of fridge doors and
getting the feed back of the fridge to
make it sound like we are in a shop.
26. I would like to try and make some of my own sound effects for my
short film I am making for example for a ticking noise I could
record a clock ticking or a pencil tapping. Also I could just get
some royalty free music from websites or YouTube.
