Yearbook staff
1. We were... connected. From the very first moment we stepped into the infamous room 110,
we felt the strings pulling us towards each other. Throughout the year, those strings only
became more intertwined, knotted and tangled. To the point where we had yarn spilling
all over the room. It was no time at all until we were practically living in the room that had for
years been an elusive dream. We brought luggage, quarrelled over keys and remained
here longer than most teachers (We believe our record was 11 - that is p.m.) But we didn't
only create a yearbook, we created a year.
The twenty fifteen yearbook staff is comprised of leaders, clowns, scientists, artists,
musicians, athletes, mathematicians, rebels, poets and wallflowers. They are the most
vibrant souls to have ever graced LHS and the words 'thank you' are not enough to
encompass our infinite gratitude towards them. Towards our Princess, Mr. Tarleton. Towards
our business advisor, Mr. LeConte. Finally, towards our administration and faculty for every
excusal and photograph. However, here is the biggest thank you we can give you: this
culmination of memories. We have spent one whole year tirelessly working, and hope that
you never tire of looking through the colorful faces of our class, because we know we never
will.
We are sitting here on our last day of editing, pondering
over what we know now that we suspected then... We
are not just Making History. We are transcending history.
We are preserving history. We are marking history. We
are your favorite natural disasters, the seasons will pass
and the world will turn but you will feel our aftershocks for
years to come.
With love, your editors Kayla and Lucia
