Was a working journalist for 32 years, starting out at a two-person newspaper in a town of 1,000. For 30 years, employed at The Canadian Jewish News in Toronto, first as a reporter for five years, before being promoted to News Editor. In this capacity coordinated weekly news coverage, utilizing the skills of staff reporters and freelance correspondents. In 1998, was asked to become the first Internet Editor at The Canadian Jewish News, due to expertise of this area. For over the past 25 years served as editor of Kol Echad, the monthly publication of Forestdale Heights Lodge, B'nai Brith Canada.
