Uganda is a little nation in focal Africa and a lot of its region is
comprised of Lake Victoria. Around 500 B.C. Bantu talking individuals
relocated to Uganda. Bedouin dealers landed in Uganda during the
1840s, while English travelers began touching base in 1862. In 1894
Uganda turned into an English Protectorate. The nation is known for

3. Location
Location is an important aspect of
the five themes of Geography,
because it helps the audience situate
the place or nation. Uganda is
located in the Southern and Eastern
hemisphere, and located in the
continent of Africa. It is surrounded
by land, and has no access via ocean.
The neighbouring nations are Kenya,
South Sudan, Rwanda, Tanzania, etc.
4. Place
The place or physical features of
Uganda are also of great
importance. Uganda is situated in
the Nile basin, and there are
multiple lakes and water bodies in
the nation. Another important
feature of the nation is its vast
amount of swamp land. The people
in Uganda depend on the land to a
great extent for their living.
5. Human
Environment
Interaction
As described before, the people in Uganda are
dependent on the environment to a great extent,
as livelihood mostly depend on farming or other
land based activities. The drinking water of most
of the population are also collected from the lakes
or the rivers (Museveni, n.d.).
6. Movement
Movement can include the
movement of anything: goods,
services, thoughts, ideas, etc.
Uganda is famous for its export of
coffee, which is highly in demand.
The imports of the nations are
basic necessities like steel,
medicine, or fuel. The
development of Uganda is now
being influenced by other first
world countries, in as much that
cities and buildings of the same
nature can be observed.
7. Region
Region provides some general
information about the area in
question. Uganda is comprised of
many districts, and the capital city
is Kampala. Much of the population
consists of the native tribes. The
tribal languages are still commonly
used for communication, with
English rapidly gaining popularity.
