“I think I will choose the Bath School
Disaster mainly because it’s in Michigan and
only 15 minutes out of East Lansing, I think
that sounds like a very interesting topic.”
Original Entry and Summary

Today we had to start planning our research for the huge research project that we are doing next. We have to choose from
a list of disasters and write a 4-7 page research paper that includes APA in text citation. I don’t exactly know how to do
that at this point, all I do know is, is that I hate citing it is such a pain so hopefully it won’t be anything to extensive. I
looked at a few different topics, one was the love canal and the second is the Bath School Disaster of 1927. I think I will
choose the Bath School Disaster mainly because it’s in Michigan and only 15 minutes out of East Lansing, I think that
sounds like a very interesting topic.

My Journal Entry I believe hits all of the points of CRAP well. As far as contrast goes I have a good color scheme that
goes along with my topic that’s from the 1920’s. As far as repetition goes, I repeat one type of font in the headings and
then the other type goes for the smaller text. I have good alignment with both of the main arrowed points. I also have
good alignment with the words next to the picture because they line up with the edge of the photo instead of showing
empty gaps between text and picture. The proximity of all of my text is done well because the main points of planning
the research paper are easily identifiable and follow each other in list form. The topic that I chose and kind of used as an
example along with a direct quote from my journal entry is in a spot that is separated from the rest of the visual and it is
also in a good spot.
