2. FCAT=Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test
The FCAT is a test given to Florida students to
determine what they know and can do in
reading, math, writing, and science.
Every student in the state of Florida is required to
take this test in April of each year.
3rd graders must pass this examine in order to
advance to the 4th grade

Solve multi-step problems.
Understand and use information.
Get the main idea from reading.
Write and organize thoughts.
Read, write, and problem-solve for 45 minutes
or longer.
