Omnichannel allows customers to transition from shopping in store to on there device, basically the retailer is making it as easy as possible for the customer to shop, even when they are not in the store. THus benifitng the retailer because tehre customers can be shopping outside the open hours of the shop and they do not need to be staffed 24/7
Maybe im so addicted becasuse its so easy to order, with easy order and mobile orders and the apps
When getting coffee or dinner is as easy as sending a text I have more motivation to stay loyal to the company

Retailtainment is retail marketing as entertainment. In his book, Enchanting a Disenchanted World: Revolutionizing the Means of Consumption (1999), author George Ritzer describes "retailtainment" as the "use of ambience, emotion, sound and activity to get customers interested in the merchandise and in a mood to buy."
Is combining retail and entertainment in one place, hosting activites in stores is an example or it can be as simple as holiday windown done by a visual merchandiser
It has also branched into the combination of retail and entertainment it can be done in the smiplest form of visual merchendasing and enchanting holiday windows of saks to
ACTIVITES

Nordstrom teamed up with Influencers and fashion bloggers to help promote their semi annual sale. The bloggers would heavily document their experience shopping the sale via their social media channels. Creating a huge amount of exposure in a more candid manner, because the customers are fans of the influencers. Thus exposing the sale to the network of every influancer
Arielle Charnas is the creator of the Something Navy Empire, she has been dubbed a superinfluancer In September she launched a brand of clothing she designed exclusively at Nordstrom. The line sold out and crashed the nordstrom website she also used her clout as an influencer to do meet and greets and takeovers of the nordstrom instagram to get even more publicity for the drop.

+Google Express may be far from Google’s most successful service, but it’s an obvious and necessary one to continue expanding, particularly as the company continues to go up against Amazon.
+but by shopping with well-known brick-and-mortar stores, Google may be able to win over people who haven’t been wooed by Amazon Prime.
By year-end, Google says it plans to have the entire continental U.S. covered by Google Express.
What makes Google Express different is its retailer lineup. In most cases, it’s partnering with national retailers who either haven’t yet figured out e-commerce, or only offer delivery through more traditional means – not one-day delivery.
Eliminates the need for many of americas favorite brands to develop there own 2 day shipping to compete with amazon
+Offering its service to other retailers, partnering up rather then competing.
Retailers have so much less overhead in development
The iconic luxury retailer hermes opened a pop up store called the Silk Bar in a diner in Columbus Circle Manhattan to celebrate the launch of an IOS app called slip knots
