studying alone
3. A Slice of Life...
Jake: a CS student at a public university
● He frequently stays up late in the library
● He feels most productive working alone
● He suffers from added stress
● Every return from the restroom is accompanied
by a sigh of relief
● He wishes bathroom breaks would not add
an extra level of stress on his studying
experiences.

4. THINK/SEE/FEEL/DO
Think: “Can I trust this stranger to watch my stuff? I guess I have
no choice.”
See: Jake sees countless strangers that he has to trust with his
belongings.
Feel: Jake feels uneasy about continuing to rely on strangers, but
it his best option.
Do: Jake spends countless evenings putting his valuable items in
the hands of strangers.
5. “ USE CASE:
As a student who is more
productive studying alone at the
library, I want my computer to have
an added level of theft prevention
through live streaming to my phone
and sending me a text if it was
closed so I can have more peace of
mind when I step away.

11. HYPOTHESIS
With our first MVP, we are hoping to learn
whether a student feels more safe and has a
better studying experience when leaving their
laptop that is equipped with Trust No One.
Using this information, we can continue on
using our current features, or modify them to
help students feel safer.
