the following changes to our current
parking situation took effect
May 17, 2010.
Entry B will be used by patients
and visitors using Valet services.
Patient pick ups and drop offs by
transportation companies and/or
by private car will not be allowed at
this entrance. The drives south of
Entrance B (formerly 7th Street) will
be reassigned as Fire Lanes and marked
in red to ensure the safety of those
walking to and from the Health Center
and Mulvane Building.
Entry A will be used for hospital
patient pick ups and drop offs by
transportation companies and private
cars.
Entry C will be used for Mulvane
Building pick ups and drop offs for
Kansas Dialysis Services and Pain
Management Center patients. These
patients will also have access to three
newly designated spots at the east
entrance of the Mulvane Building
(previously occupied by Valet customer
vehicles).
St. Francis transporters will use
Entrance C for specimen/equipment
drop off and pick up. UPS will use
Entrance C for deliveries to the
Mulvane Building.
Community Partners may continue
to use Valet Parking as long as they
follow the same guidelines expected
of our health center customers and
visitors. We do ask that volunteers and
associates discontinue parking in the
Emergency Department parking lot.

Policy Review
S
t. Francis Health Center policy
states that only the following
people can be behind an
information desk: clergy who are
looking at the hospital’s current list of
patients for the clergy’s church; or a
Community Partner currently on duty
at that information desk.
Additionally, clergy should not
be given the list of patients for any
church other then the one the clergy
represents. This policy is in place to
ensure patient privacy. Thank you for
your attention Health Center policy
and federal patient privacy regulations.
patient at St. Francis. “I had to keep
busy because I had too much to offer,”
he said.
He is thrilled to work with seniors in
the SeniorSpirit program and observe
how they become healthier through
their participation in the program’s
exercise classes.
“It’s good to see SeniorSpirit
members’ physical health improve,”
Mike said. Using his skills and
experience as a business owner of a tire
dealership, he enjoys the challenge of
recruiting new members and ensuring a
healthy future for SeniorSpirit.
