Legal board term from 01.06.-31.05.
Current Board consists of 9 board members and 25 officers
Board and Officers meet approx. once a week, to discuss and plan its’
actions. The meetings are not mandatory, but encouraged.

6. Hierarchy of the Guild

Holds the Board accountable through General Meeting, Expresses
wants through general meeting and guiding documents

Executive entity of the day to day actions, legally responsible for the operations of the Guild. Chosen in
the General Meeting. Generally a board member has a sector they are responsible of.
People selected for the operative actions of the Guild. Chosen by the Board through officer calls.
Partake in Board meetings and equal to the Board members in the day-to day, no legal responsibility.
Separate actors chosen to help out in different tasks of INTO. Usually part of a project committee, led
by a member(s) of B&O. Less responsibility and usually a shorter time, due to the project based nature.

9. Former of the Board
The board is selected through a method called the “Former of the Board”
In the Former of the Board method, the chairperson applicants bring forth
proposals of the board, that the members vote on in the general meeting.
1. An application period for board members is had and applications are published
2. Chairperson applicants interview the board applicants
3. Chairperson applicants publish their board proposals before the meeting
4. In the general meeting the chairperson is selected
5. Chairperson brings forth their board proposal that is either accepted or denied
6. If accepted = becomes new board, if not = chairperson brings forth a new proposal
11. Qualities of a good board member applicant
Enthusiastic!
Wants to learn to take responsibility and develop leadership skills.
Some relevant experience in volunteering, work or otherwise
- Has been an officer, tutor, similar work experience, done team leading etc.
General understanding of the role you are applying for.
You do not need to worry about expertise or niche knowledge for the role
- You will be trained in all the necessary details!
12. Qualities of a good officer applicant
Enthusiastic!
Wants to learn new skills and develop themselves.
Wants to take a deeper step in the international community, to get new friends and fun
experiences.
Possibly has a skill or a project they want to contribute with.
Knows what it means to apply for an officer role, willing to give time.
You don’t need to worry about prior experience in the role, being an officer is the place
to learn new things! There will be a board member to guide you along the way!
14. Should you apply?
Short answer: Yes!
If doing something fun and practical alongside your studies sounds like you, then you
are in the right place!
In applying for a Board or Officer position, some level of time commitment is expected of
you. For most positions, the time commitment is flexible and usually under 5 hours a wk.
If interested, rather shoot your shot and try applying, than not. We are a friendly and
supportive bunch of people, so you’ll get along quicker than you realize :)
