Pizza Recipe - September 28, 2015
1. Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a large rectangular baking tray with
butter to prevent the pizza from sticking to the pan and set aside.
2. Prepare toppings (dice vegetables and shred mozzarella cheese) and in a skillet,
sauté onion (optional: add minced garlic) over medium heat until translucent.
3. In a frying pan cook strips of bacon on medium high heat until crispy, and place
cooked strips on a plate lined with paper towel to absorb excess grease.
4. Once cool, cut or crumble bacon into bit sized pieces for topping.
5. Unwrap the pizza dough, knead on a floured surface with your hands and a rolling
pin and place it in the center of the oiled baking tray, slowly working the pizza
dough outwards with your fingers, spreading it to the edges of the pan.
6. Using a brush or the back of a spoon, spread a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
over the pizza dough and lightly sprinkle 1 tablespoon of oregano to coat the
pizza. Add sauce, vegetables and meat toppings, and sprinkle mozzarella on top.
