1. Dear Supporter of Inclusion:
The Latino Vote has been absent in Dallas County politics for quite some time.
In Farmers Branch, Hispanics constitute the majority population yet there are no
Hispanics on its City Council. Farmers Branch has spent over six million dollars fighting change
that would lead to equitable representation.
The City of Grand Prairie is also majority Hispanic and it also does not have any
Hispanics on its City Council , as a matter of fact it has only one Department Head out of 16
total.
The City of Irving deported more than 7,000 individuals, 98% for minor traffic offenses
and the future for Latino political representation is bleak. There are no Hispanics on the Irving
Independent School District.
Let's take jobs throughout Dallas County and the City of Dallas and let's add the United
States Post Office just for the sake of it and you will see a very disproportionate amount of
Latino faces, the only ones you sometimes see are the cleaning crews after hours.
We must change that and make it easier for our Children and the next generation.
We need to do that with an organzing campaign, with paid staff and volunteers, with a
comprehensive media message and with your financial support. I cannot do it alone with my few
remaining resources.
The Latino Votes Project has been establsihed as a Super Pac that allows our
community to be politically competitive.
Contribute today, as much as you can. We really need your support.
