This famous New York coffee house first opened in
1927 in the heart of Greenwich Village. The famous
Italian Cappuccino was introduced in America by
the founder of Caffe Reggio, Domenico Parisi, in the
early thirties. Inside the cafe, against the back wall,
there is still the original Espresso machine that he
bought when the café opened in 1927.

Using boardwalk boards salvaged during Sandy’s aftermath- from
Long Beach, New York; Sea Grit, New Jersey; and Atlantic City,
New Jersey- Heartwalk begins as two ribbons of wooden planks
that fluidly lift from the ground to form a heart shaped enclosure
in the middle of Duffy Square. The slated construction, illuminated
from within, provides varied views of the interior as visitors move
around the perimeter of the installation. Visitors can enter the
installation itself and literally stand in the heart of the world’s
greatest city.

LeChurro opened its doors in New York City with the idea of
offering traditional churros from Spain in a fun and friendly setting.
What is a Churro? Traditionally enjoyed in Spain for breakfast or
afternoon tea, a churro is a simple and delightful pastry. Crispy in
the outside and soft in the inside, churros can be eaten plain or
sprinkled with sugar and are generally accompanied by coffee
or a Spanish style thick hot chocolate. At LeChurro, churros can
be enjoyed plain, with sugar, cinnamon sugar or dipped in one of
their signature dipping sauces. Filled churros include savory and
sweet flavors with special new flavors coming every week.
