4. WEATHER
The climate in New York is revolves around longer summer and winter seasons.
Towards the end of April, summer hits the city and temperatures increase to a
maximum average of around 13°C. From May to September, temperatures
averaging in the late 20s are common, as is rainfall.
Winter begins in October, and average temperatures drop to around 10°C before
lowering further to the freezing point between December and February. Both rain
and snow are common sights during the season and while they can make
sightseeing a little difficult, the beauty of the snow in particular more than makes
up for it.

Summer is a humid time in New York, so visitors should pack light, airy
clothing. Sunglasses, sun cream and a protective hat will all ensure you
remain comfortable.
Winter necessities include warm clothing, solid boots with good grip, and
thick coats. Gloves, hats and scarves are also recommended.
