them whenever they need assistant. Our gratitude
will be meaningless if we are not grateful to almighty
Allah for his kindness upon us. His benevolence and

11. What is NPV
Net Present Value
(NPV) is the
difference between
the present value of
cash inflows and the
present value of cash
outflows. NPV is used
in capital budgeting to
analyze the
profitability of a
projected investment
or project.
The following is the
formula for calculating
NPV:
NPV = ∑ {Net Period
Cash Flow/(1+R)^T} -
Initial Investment
12. What is NPV
A positive net present value indicates that the
projected earnings generated by a project or
investment exceeds the anticipated costs in.
Generally, an investment with a positive NPV will be
a profitable one and one with a negative NPV will
result in a net loss.
This concept is the basis for the Net Present Value
Rule, which dictates that the only investments that
should be made are those with positive NPV values.
13. Information:
Amounts are in Million
and currency is yen.
Cash flows are founded
from sales projection –
CGS projection.
Require Return is
calculated as PAT/SHE
Exchange rate is taken
from internet.
When currencies are
same so we divide cash
flows and exchange
rate and if currencies
are different we multiply.
In our projection
currencies were
different so we
multiplied. Cash flows
were yen and exchange
rate was Pak Rs.
