To whom it may concern:
Lance Gillam worked with Emco at our plumbing division from June 10, 2013 through October
19, 2016 as an Inside Sales Representative. I was his manager for the first year Lance was
with Emco, but no longer have the Inside Sales team under my umbrella. As an Inside Sales
Rep with Emco, Lance was responsible for dealing with customer requests, including checking
stock, price, entering purchase orders, trouble-shooting product issues or needs, managing
future orders or projects, and providing strong customer service through email, phone and
fax. He worked with both regular customers assigned to him, as well as customers connected
through the customer service queue on the phones.
Lance was a great member of the Inside Sales team, and was willing to help out other
teammates when the team was short-staffed or workloads became unbalanced. Lance also
was willing to help out in other departments, like reception and our sales counter when
needed, and always did so with a positive attitude and great sense of humor. There were no
issues with Lance’s attendance while working with Emco, and his customers thought very
highly of him. With the downturn in the economy, we unfortunately went through some
layoffs, and Lance was let go as a result.
