That’s Not My Job
This is a story about four people named Everybody,
Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an
important job to be done and Everybody was
sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could
have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got
angry about that, because it was Everybody’s
job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it,
but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t
do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed
Somebody when Nobody did what
Anybody could have.
CONCEPT OF MANAGEMENT
A. TRADITIONAL CONCEPT
• Management is the art of getting things done through
others. (Mary Parker Follett)
• Management consists of getting things done through
others. A manager is one who accomplishes organizational
objectives by directing the efforts of others. (C.S. George)
B. MODERN CONCEPT

• Management is the co-ordination of all resources through

Management Theory Jungle".
According to Henri Fayol,
"To manage is to forecast and to plan, to organize,
to command, to co-ordinate and to control.“
Henri Fayol gave this definition of management in his book "Industrial
and General Administration".
