Where will the interview be?
-Directions to the organization/company. Are you familar with the route? Do you need to drive it/take a bus/walk their a few days before to make yourself familiar?
Where will you park?
Practice Questions- Be thinking a few days before about behavior based questions and answers, strengths, weaknesses, a time when…., how you handle conflict, how to handle upset people, how you work under pressure, and a time when you have failed - how you reacted, overcame, and made things positive.
Clothing- get your outfit ready the night before. Not the morning of.
Good Nights sleep is important because one needs rest to think and be alert, refreshed.
Print on resume paper, paper clip, not staple. Use it as a reference tool or to give to your interviewer if they did not print a copy.
Note pad and pen- take notes about the interview. Highlight things, don't write a novel. write questions you want to ask later on.
List of questions at the end- Do you think I am a good fit for this position, when will you be deciding or calling people back, what does a typical day look like, what is the culture like here, do you do activities in the community if so how often, what have other employees done in this position to be successful
On Stage- as soon as you are on their property you are “on stage”. Say hi or smile to everyone. Act professional until you leave their property.
ALWAYS ask questions at the end of the interview when they ask,

How do you answer this question?
The right way to answer this is….talk about what you are doing now or what you hope to do in the future, what your goals are. Dont speak a lot on your resume because its all right there. Talk about things that are not on the resume and use adjectives to describe your life right now or where you want to go- Im currently working as a marketing executive or Im working as a cashier at X and really enjoy working with people in customer service where I can make them smile everyday, which gives me a huge sense of satisfaction and I feel great at the end of the day knowing I helped another.
