1. UNDERTAKES FRONT-LINE SERVICE TO THE PUBLIC BY:
Issuing, returning and renewing library materials using manual and automated systems.
Verify and processing membership applications and re-registrations
Processing interlibrary loan and reservation requests electronically and manually
Performing information searches by carrying out reference interviews, online public searches and directing
the public to relevant material.
Performing orientation and user education.
Answering information enquires receiving received by the public both telephonically and in person
Recommending recreational reading for adult and children
Direction the public to relevant section, branches and departments
Directing and referring public to community information re-sources
Photocopying faxing printing and accessing the internet
To ensure the effective delivery of services in accordance with the bathopele principles
