computer skills. I bring the best out of my work with an ability to adapt to changes and also willing to learn new things
as the world is getting more advanced and digital. I have worked under pressure more than I can remember. I do what

Duties and Tasks:
1. UNDERTAKES FRONT-LINE SERVICE TO THE PUBLIC BY:
 Issuing, returning and renewing library materials using manual and automated systems.
 Verify and processing membership applications and re-registrations
 Processing interlibrary loan and reservation requests electronically and manually
 Performing information searches by carrying out reference interviews, online public searches and directing
the public to relevant material.
 Performing orientation and user education.
 Answering information enquires receiving received by the public both telephonically and in person
 Recommending recreational reading for adult and children
 Direction the public to relevant section, branches and departments
 Directing and referring public to community information re-sources
 Photocopying faxing printing and accessing the internet
 To ensure the effective delivery of services in accordance with the bathopele principles

2. UNDERTAKE OFF-COUNTER FUNCTIONS: (daily)
 Preparing issue counter for the day
 Recording of daily transaction both manual and automated
 Following up on and co-ordinate defaulter/lost and paid library materials schedules
 Participate in weeding of the collection e.g. discards
 Recording and compiling in- house usage statistics
 Shelving and shelf-reading of library materials in accordance with the DDC and alphabetical system to
facilitate
3. UNDERTAKE LIBRARY OUTREACH BY:
 Participating in planning and organizing activities such as holiday programs, storytelling
 Participating in the setting up of displays
 Carrying out promotional activities such as membership drives and, surveys
 Promoting library user committees and friends of the library
 To promote library services
4. UNDERTAKE ADMINISTRATION FUNCTION SUCH AS:
 Following up on defaulters lost library materials schedules telephonically
 Administering the use of G.A rooms, study halls and seminar room
