as some marketing and public relations roles. Highly organised and efficient
person, with a thorough and precise approach to tasks, which has produced
excellent results to date. Able to manage own time effectively, and prioritise
workload. Experienced at working to tight deadlines and under considerable
pressure. Friendly and approachable with excellent interpersonal and

Duties: -
 New university student orientation
 Cataloguing and classification (using LC system) of library resources
using the KOHA library management system
 Educate and coach library patrons on accessing electronic journals
and e-brary for research purposes, which has resulted in them being
the most popular means for research and preparation of assignments
 Planning the administrative and budgetary functions of the library
service
 Update library’s circulation and membership files
 Process fines for any violations of library rules and regulations
 Coordinate and facilitate interlibrary loans
 Community outreach programmes through partnership with Better
Schools Program district information centers
 Establishment of satellite libraries at the district centers
 Prepare library’s monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports

 Instrumental in circulation policy formulation adopted by ZOU LIS

Advocacy workshop in November 2009.
 Significantly increased awareness of the ZOU library service by
outreach programmes through establishment of two district
libraries at Better Schools Programme (BSP) offices in Murewa
and Wedza in Mashonaland East.
