2. ABSTRACT :-
This project presents the overall design of Home Automation System (HAS) with wireless system. It specifically
focuses on the development of an IOT based home automation system that is able to control various components
via internet or be automatically programmed to operate from ambient conditions. In this project, we design the
development of a firmware for smart control which can successfully be automated minimizing human
interaction to preserve the integrity within whole electrical devices in the home. We use Node MCU, a popular
open source IOT platform, to execute the process of automation. Different components of the system will use
different transmission mode that will be implemented to communicate the control of the devices by the user
through Node MCU to the actual appliance. The main control system implements wireless technology to provide
remote access from smart phone. The status of the appliance would be available, along with the control on an
android platform. We can monitor the real time feedback and the and the sensor readings on our smart phone
from anywhere in the world. We can still control the appliances with manual switches when there iis no internet.
3. INTRODUCTION :-
Now a days Most of the people prefer using the latest technology to perform
their daily life activities because of the latest technological innovations have
brought comfort to our standard of living.
The IoT providing an easy way of life with comforts to human being by managing
and interacting remotely control of home appliances.
Home automation is the automatic control of electronic devices in your
home. These devices are connected to the Internet, which allows them to
be controlled remotely.
Home automation can also lead to greater safety with Internet of Things
devices and home appliances.
All home automation devices are IOT devices, these devices can be managed
remotely through controllers.
IOT provides more flexible and low cost solutions for daily life problems
which ultimately improve the user’s life.

5. BLOCK DIAGRAM :-
• The block diagram gives the functionality of the overall
project. The Node MCU unit is the microcontroller or the
main controlling unit of the system.
• The user uses the mobile application in setting commands for
functioning of the appliances.
• The mobile application interprets the command form in user
in voice or switch mode and sends signal to the Node MCU
unit, over a wireless network established by Wi-Fi
communication.

7. FLOW CHART :-
• This flow chart shows the working of the project. The process
starts be initializing the Wi-Fi, the network name and password
are written in the code and uploaded to Node MCU.
• The android device is connected to Node MCU over Wi-Fi. The
Blynk server is set up and connection is made, the devices is
identified in the Blynk server using the generated authentication
token.
• The command for controlling the load is given to the
application, and this command, over Wi-Fi network is sent to the
Node MCU.

8. ADVANTAGES :-
• Managing all of our home devices from one place. The convenience factor here is enormous.
• Flexibility for new devices and appliances.
• Increased energy efficiency.
• Improved appliance functionality.
• Home automation makes life more convenient and can even save you money on heating, cooling and
electricity bills.
• Home automation can also lead to greater safety with Internet of Things devices like security cameras and
systems.
9. DISADVANTAGES:-
• Upfront costs of equipment and installation are the leading disadvantages of home automation
systems.
• costs of equipment, Maintenance costs add more to disadvantages of Home Automation
