- Что значит для компании быть data-driven? Первый элемен – сбор данных. Это обязательная характеристика для компании. Мы говорим, что это не просто данные, а именно правильные данные, необходимые для обеспечения существования компании. Каковы характристики данных (исходим из продположения, что изначально данные не чистые): собранные вовремя, чистые, беспристрастные и самое главное, заслуживающие доверия.
- Доступ к данным. Joinable, Shareable, Queryable. So, for an organization to be data-driven, there have to be humans in the loop, humans who ask the right questions of the data, humans who have the skills to extract the right data and metrics, and humans who use that data to inform next steps.

- Self Reliant BI Self Reliant BI is an approach to data analytics that enables business users to not only access, analyze, and work with data, but also access data as needed and modify and create new analyses as desired. Self-Reliant BI is an environment where the business users are closer to the data and interacting with the data. IT helps users understand what data is available by providing a metadata dictionary at the business layer level. This will help end users to focus on the meaning of the data in the BI system, not the technology itself. Self Service BI Self-service business intelligence (SSBI) is an approach to data analytics that enables business users to access and work with corporate information without the IT department’s involvement (except, of course, to set up the data warehouse and data marts underpinning the business intelligence (BI) system and deploy the self-service query and reporting tools). The self-service approach lets end users interact with personalized reports and analytical queries created by IT staffers that includes more data, and allows for more exploration of data than traditional BI given its more intuitive user interface, however it is not fully independent of IT. However, whenever the user does have a new question or wants to look at new data, they will need to go back to IT to add the data to the cube and to then expose it in the application for the end user. Self-service BI is just a better or faster version of the traditional BI approach.
