Healthy and Nutritious is
Always Delicious!
Gardens To Go
We are a nonprofit organization working with the
support of Home Depot and Burpee Seeds.
Our mission is to develop and promote affordable,
healthy lifestyles by empowering the students and
families within New Jersey Public Schools through
sustainable educational programming.
Values
● PROMOTE DIVERSITY
○ Through a collaborative process that creates a sense of
togetherness by establishing a high level of teamwork and
support within the community
● MENTOR
○ By embracing innovation through cooperative learning
● INSPIRE
○ To consistently and effectively motivate children, families,
and their community
Values
● PROMOTE SUSTAINABILITY:
○ Through the development of lasting lifestyle changes that
become inherent for the future of children and families
● COMMITMENT
○ To the dedication to educate and empower communities to
strive for healthier lifestyles
Our 3 W’s
Who?
We are a diverse group of health conscious individuals sharing the
common desire to educate communities about the importance of
sustainable gardening and proactive lifestyles.
Our 3 W’s
What?
We deliver innovative programs to middle schools for areas in need
to educate and demonstrate fun and engaging ways to increase
healthy habits.
Our 3 W’s
Why?
We are doing this because obesity rates have more than doubled in
the past 35 years. At the same time we are seeing more and more
low income areas fall victim to food deserts.

“over-eating”
● Healthy snacking keeps

even.
How To Wash Vegetables
● First thing you need to do is wash
your veggies.
● Rinse in salt water for a few
minutes then gently swish in cool
water until you do not see any
