A recent survey provided an employee perspective of how employees receive
current Human Resources information as well as their preferred medium to
receive HR news.
4. RESULTS – SOCIAL MEDIA
Facebook
68% of respondents use Facebook as a source of entertainment and/or connecting with family and friends.
48% said they use Facebook 8 or more times during any given week.
18% stated Facebook as their preferred news outlet if they were to receive HR news via social media.
Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube
The survey revealed that usage in these forms of media were minimal and of those users, primarily for
entertainment purposes.

LinkedIn
74% of respondents said they have used LinkedIn.
82% of the users admit to “using” LinkedIn only 1-3 times a week.
