DEFINITION OF OFFICE
 A location, usually a building or portion of a
building, where a company conducts its business. A
company can have just one office, known as
its home office, or a main office and a variety
of field offices or branch offices which people work
at a disk doing business or professional activates it
also a place to meet clients
HISTORY OF OFFICES:
The High Middle Ages (1000–1300) saw the rise of the
medieval chancery, which was usually the place where most
government letters were written and where laws were copied in the
administration of a kingdom. The rooms of the chancery often had
walls full of pigeonholes, constructed to hold rolled up pieces of
parchment for safekeeping or ready reference, a precursor to the book
shelf. The introduction of printing during the Renaissance did not
change these early government offices much.
An early European office
Medieval illustrations, such as paintings or tapestries, often
show people in their private offices handling record-keeping books or
writing on scrolls of parchment. All kinds of writings seemed to be
mixed in these early forms of offices. Before the invention of the
printing press and its distribution there was often a very thin line
between a private office and a private library since books were read or
written in the same space at the same desk or table, and general
accounting and personal or private letters were also done there.
TYPE OF OFFICES:
 CELLULAR office: is characterized by stringing together single and multi-
person offices along the building’s facade; a common corridor provides
access. The cellular office is particularly well-suited for companies that want
to support autonomous work that requires concentration and facilitate
confidential meetings. Offices with a door are still regarded today as a status
symbol. A relatively low maximum occupancy rate is taken into account in this
type of office.
 Autonomous, focused work
 Confidential meetings
 Status
 COMBINATION office: Combination of standardized one- and multi-person
offices for focused work, with significantly reduced floor space.
Communication occurs in the interior multi-functional shared area (central
area). Hallway walls are transparent in order to provide the central area with
natural light. The central zone also serves as the central meeting point for
exchange, interaction and support areas. In combination offices, people
switch frequently between individual work requiring concentration and
communicative project or team work. The maximum occupancy rate is greater
than in the cellular office.
 Focused work
 Communication in the central zone
 Transparency: Visual contact possible thanks to central break-out area
 For frequent shifts between focused individual work and more communicative
project or team work
TYPE OF OFFICES:
TYPE OF OFFICES:
TEAM office: In the team office, there is a mix of office layouts within the office floor or
building. The focus is on the variability and flexibility of office layouts. Designed to be
partially open and transparent, or modified at short notice for a company’s special
requirements. It is suitable for a wide array of work, such as team building and
structuring, project work, concentration, and communication. The maximum occupancy
rate is also somewhat higher for this office layout.
•High flexibility
•Mix of office types
•Team building and organization
•Project work
•Concentration
•Communications
TYPE OF OFFICES:
OPEN SPACE office: Brings together the advantages of several office forms in open-
plan application scenarios. Communication and the quality of interaction become the
focus without mitigating privacy and the opportunity to concentrate. Employees choose
the zones and areas that are best suited to their activities. Space efficiency is achieved
with compacted, non-territorial workplace areas.
•Efficient use of space
•Flexibility in open-plan application scenarios
•Openness and exchange of knowledge
•Communications
•Quality of interaction
OFFICE MODULES & AREAS:
One & two person office (cellular office), Secretarial
office, Reception & Waiting area. Open space
office, Call center, Archiving, Conference room &
Seminar, Workshop
Secretarial office:
 The Secretariat is the heart of every company. This is where we put special
emphasis on freedom of action in the field of information management,
documentation and tools necessary to work in this position. It combines
elements of accessibility and privacy. The competent organization of this area
can compensate for both functions.
OFFICE MODULES & AREAS:
Reception & Waiting area:
 First representation of the company. Focal point of the
corporate identity. The company’s culture is manifested and
represented to staff members and visitors.
 The reception: a successful profile depends on the first
impression. The reception is a place of first contact with the
client’s organizational culture. Regardless of which occupies
an area must meet the same function - to be properly
organized, which give the possibility of cooperation with
other organizations so that customers quickly and efficiently
receive reliable information.
 Professional design represents the company and
demonstrates respect towards the visitor. The company’s
culture, image symbols, details and processes are imprinted
in the memory of the person waiting.
OFFICE MODULES & AREAS:
Open space office:
 Open Space is a multi-purpose area. The organization of such an area
requires an analysis of its place in the structure of the company..
OFFICE MODULES & AREAS:
Archiving:
 Archiving is closely linked with the rules governing the media on which data
are recorded, the number of copies required, duration and location of their
storage, available at various levels of management and to safeguard against
access of unauthorized persons. Such information shall ensure the proper
organization of work space.
OFFICE MODULES & AREAS:
Conference room & Seminar /
Workshop:
 The conference room is an area
of meetings of various kinds..
OFFICE MODULES & AREAS:
COLOR USED IN OFFICES
Red For The Detail-Oriented. A powerful color, red can help increase
performance in employees who have detail-oriented assignments.
Blue For Creative Types. Blue is calming. It also helps people with creativity by
opening the mind to new ideas. In the workplace, blue would be a good color
in a room that is used for brainstorming.
Don't Paint Conference Rooms Yellow. The color of optimism, yellow is
stimulating. Too much of it, however, can cause anxiety, and studies show
that people are more likely to lose their temper in yellow rooms, which might
make it a bad choice for conference rooms.
Green For Inspiring Innovation. Similar to blue, green is a calming color that
promotes harmony and balance. It also can enhance creative performance,
according to study. Green would be a good choice in an office where
innovation is a key component
Avoid Gray To Keep Morale Up. While gray is psychologically neutral, the color
also lacks energy. It is suppressive and prepares people for hibernationa.
Heavy use of gray can foster a lack of confidence and even depression. This
color should be used in small amounts in an office and offset by a brighter
color, such as red or yellow
EXAMPLE OF TECHNOLOGY
There are some offices at Facebook that have some interesting designs. The
designers came up with an exceptional solution to maximize coveted offices with
windows. They turned some of the exterior offices at an angle allowing one of the
corners to protrude outside of the building’s exterior wall. Now, a lot more people
can have a corner office.
EXAMPLE OF TECHNOLOGY
Nowadays its possible to use warm colors in the offices that help the employs to
be active.
EXAMPLE OF TECHNOLOGY
Because employs sit on offices more than 12 hours so designers trying to
change the monotone of working in offices all of these hours by making them
feel that they are in their homes with every place, this make them more creative
and work more without stress
LIGHTING
Lighting is one of the best, and easiest, ways to improve the office environment. The
challenge is that office lighting plans must be cohesive and effectively illuminate
different types of spaces that coexist under one roof: the reception area, open office
space and private offices of varying sizes. It must represent and reinforce the
corporate image. that enhances the feeling of well-being and productivity of the office
staff.
• Create a flexible lighting plan that enables employees to perform tasks comfortably,
effectively, and safely.
• Allow a comfortable transition from space to space.
• Design a lighting plan for long-term employee comfort, with a proper balance of
energy savings and lighting quality.
• Integrate and control daylight to improve employee morale and cut energy costs.
The primary function of lighting in the office space is to support work. It effects the
ambiance in the office; it effects how employees, clients and customers view the company
and it’s image. It has a profound effect on the feeling of well-being and productivity of the
office staff. Therefore, it is essential that office lighting be included as a vital consideration
towards the successful operation of any business.

LIGHTING
 Light temperature
Warm light makes a space feel smaller, more comfortable and familiar, where
cooler light make areas appear more spacious.

People work better when they don't feel like they are coped up inside all day
NEW TRENDS:
Added Facilities
more businesses are striving to provide everything they can to accommodate
their employee’s lifestyle and schedules. Kitchens and lunch rooms should be
a place where co-workers can enjoy some social time together as well as
grab a coffee or sit down for a meal. Some offices even have gymnasiums,
games rooms, and swimming pools with shower facilities. By adapting an
office space to fit these needs, matching that work/life balance becomes
easily attainable.
NEW TRENDS:

NEW TRENDS:
Brighter Walls
Colorful and bright walls keep workers awake and excited during the day.
Whiteboards and chalkboards throughout the office help get creative juices
flowing. Implementing these creative outlets for workers keeps the office fun and
open to new ideas and concepts. Many creative spaces have beanbags, board
games and other entertainment pieces for workers to use during breaks. Modern
furniture will also brighten up office space and create a clean, fresh look.
Creative light fixtures change traditional lacking any interest ceiling in modern

NEW TRENDS:
 Maximizing natural light within a lighting design is becoming popular
NEW TRENDS:
Color
Like 2015, 2016 will continue to display a high demand in bright, bold and vibrant
colors throughout commercial environments. Colors not only add a sense of
identity and personality to a space but they are also key to supporting and
enhancing your company brand. There have also been various studies
suggesting that particular colors can improve the way we think and act
NEW TRENDS:
Sustainability
the general public become more conscientious about their impact on the environment.
Everything from cycling to work schemes, composting, recycling programs, to sourcing
goods from sustainable resources are put into place, and office layouts are optimized to
use maximum light from outside, and insulated to keep heat inside. Grey water systems,
solar, wind, and geothermal energy, top grade windows, flooring and exterior walls are
just a few ways that an eco-conscious design can be incorporated into the workplace

Ibukota Jakarta 12960, Indonesia
 Area 230.0 sqm
 Project Year 2015
The Kota Casablanca-located project is a building of 13-unit rented office
spaces. This particular project is targeted for small growing companies or
branch offices with only 2-5 employees. With a contemporary style and
tone, this office building implements black Natural Sungai Wood element
combinations on several interior elements such as frames, doors,
ceilings, furniture, pantry, wall decorative element and lobby & lounge
ceiling.
Prikarsa Office plan
PRIKARSA OFFICE SECTIONS
 The bright tone of this natural wood is well-blended when combined with
clean and clear glass element and the boldness of black color.
 The combination makes a well-structured tone composition. The walls and
ceilings in lobby and lounge area are decorated with panels made of black
checkered pattern where the black color is actually a gap that is not filled with
wood panel. The whole arrangement creates a strong image of a café-like
atmosphere thus the tenants may have more enjoyable working experience.
Prikarsa Office
On several spots, synthetic trees are installed to
psychologically give out a shady impression.
Apart from building up the aesthetic aspect, the
designer implements a green design space
concept in order to allow sunlight entering the
innermost room in the office floor plan. This is
especially visible in the room with a top clear
glass ceiling which allows the sunlight to be
dispersed evenly throughout the room.
Lastly, the lighting concept adopts a warm
atmosphere through the placement of uniformly
white-toned lamps which in turn warms up the
working environment in the office.

On the walls of the office you can see how this spectacular three dimensional lines are
playing its merging game of design patterns. On the project stage everything looked
easy to execute, while on the realization stage the task turned out to be not so easy. It
is very hard to reproduce the software project into the real life. The dynamical
aesthetics had to meet mathematical problems, but as a result the interior of the place
completely communicated all the Bank’s brand key values.
EXAMPLE OF HIGH TIC OFFICE

A full consequence of the colorful palette – black, white and gold, can be seen
when you enter their office. You simply can’t stay indifferent. Black and white are
used as contrast elements that outline certain decorative elements or take away
the eye-catching accents from them, while the gold symbolizes material power
and represents the function of the building.
As for the functional distribution of areas, we have to mention that they are
clearly separated in two – customer area and office part

A company can have just one office, known as its home office, or a main office and a variety of field offices or branch offices which people work at a disk doing business or professional activates it also a place to meet clients
  • 3. HISTORY OF OFFICES: The High Middle Ages (1000–1300) saw the rise of the medieval chancery, which was usually the place where most government letters were written and where laws were copied in the administration of a kingdom. The rooms of the chancery often had walls full of pigeonholes, constructed to hold rolled up pieces of parchment for safekeeping or ready reference, a precursor to the book shelf. The introduction of printing during the Renaissance did not change these early government offices much. An early European office Medieval illustrations, such as paintings or tapestries, often show people in their private offices handling record-keeping books or writing on scrolls of parchment. All kinds of writings seemed to be mixed in these early forms of offices. Before the invention of the printing press and its distribution there was often a very thin line between a private office and a private library since books were read or written in the same space at the same desk or table, and general accounting and personal or private letters were also done there.
  • 4. TYPE OF OFFICES:  CELLULAR office: is characterized by stringing together single and multi- person offices along the building’s facade; a common corridor provides access. The cellular office is particularly well-suited for companies that want to support autonomous work that requires concentration and facilitate confidential meetings. Offices with a door are still regarded today as a status symbol. A relatively low maximum occupancy rate is taken into account in this type of office.  Autonomous, focused work  Confidential meetings  Status
  • 5.  COMBINATION office: Combination of standardized one- and multi-person offices for focused work, with significantly reduced floor space. Communication occurs in the interior multi-functional shared area (central area). Hallway walls are transparent in order to provide the central area with natural light. The central zone also serves as the central meeting point for exchange, interaction and support areas. In combination offices, people switch frequently between individual work requiring concentration and communicative project or team work. The maximum occupancy rate is greater than in the cellular office.  Focused work  Communication in the central zone  Transparency: Visual contact possible thanks to central break-out area  For frequent shifts between focused individual work and more communicative project or team work TYPE OF OFFICES:

  • 7. TYPE OF OFFICES: OPEN SPACE office: Brings together the advantages of several office forms in open- plan application scenarios. Communication and the quality of interaction become the focus without mitigating privacy and the opportunity to concentrate. Employees choose the zones and areas that are best suited to their activities. Space efficiency is achieved with compacted, non-territorial workplace areas. •Efficient use of space •Flexibility in open-plan application scenarios •Openness and exchange of knowledge •Communications •Quality of interaction
